Orlando Public Library Painting

This painting shows a panoramic view of the 1985 additions to the Orlando Public Library in Downtown Orlando painted by artist Jim Herzberger. There is scant additional information on the artist or the painting. If the artwork was completed at the time reflected by the structures opposite the library, it would have been after 1985 and before 1991 as that is the date the Orange County Property Appraiser shows as the year construction was begun on the seven-story parking garage that is now directly across the street were the open parking lot is shown in the painting.

 A search of local newspapers for the artist does not link anyone with the last name and the painting. Perhaps someone who knows Mr. Herzberger will reach out and provide us a photograph of the artist and more information on the painting and how it came to be featured on the 3rd floor of the downtown Orlando Public Library.
